Opening: what we provide
We supply factory-direct municipal and refuse vehicles for Kenyan county governments, city and municipal authorities, private waste-management contractors, estates, industrial parks, mining-support companies and fleet operators. The range includes refuse compactor trucks, skip loaders, hook-lift trucks, water bowsers, road sweepers, dust-suppression units, cesspit emptiers and jetting-vacuum trucks. Kenya is a right-hand-drive market, so we configure the cab, mirrors and operating controls for RHD operation. We help prepare the technical and commercial documents requested for KEBS Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) and customs clearance, then plan delivery to Mombasa Port. Send your route, capacity, chassis preference and quantity for a model-specific quotation, production estimate and shipping plan.
1. Kenyan municipal and waste market
Demand is strongest around Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and fast-growing county towns, where county governments, estates, markets, hospitals, schools, hotels, industrial parks and private collection concessions require dependable fleet capacity. Typical buyers include county and municipal authorities, private environmental-service contractors, transfer-station operators, property managers, mining and industrial-site contractors, and companies bidding for public tenders.
Common purchases range from one replacement or demonstration truck to small fleets of 2–10 units. Larger county or concession programmes may combine rear-loading compactors for wheelie-bin rounds, skip or hook-lift trucks for container transfer, water bowsers for road watering and dust control, and vacuum tankers for septic and drainage work. Route width, payload, bin compatibility, collection cycle, workshop capability and spare-parts access should be assessed before selecting capacity.
2. Steering, vehicle rules and operating fit
Kenya uses right-hand-drive (RHD) vehicles for normal road operation. Confirm RHD on the proforma invoice and technical approval before production; the driver position, mirrors, cab controls and body operating controls must match the selected chassis.
This page is planned for new vehicles. New trucks are not subject to the used-vehicle age restrictions that may apply to second-hand imports. For any used vehicle, the Kenyan importer must independently verify current import eligibility, inspection, registration, emissions and customs requirements before payment or shipment. New units provide a defined specification, current production documents and a clear warranty baseline.
3. Import compliance: KEBS PVoC
Kenyan imports may require Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) through an inspection or conformity-assessment route appointed or recognised by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), together with the importer and customs clearing agent. The exact certificate, inspection scope, validity, fees and processing time depend on the vehicle classification, exporter documents and current KEBS procedure.
As a planning allowance, allow approximately 1–3 weeks for document preparation and inspection coordination, subject to the appointed provider, inspection location, importer readiness and document completeness. Inspection, certificate and related charges should be confirmed in a current written quote from the responsible provider; fees can vary by shipment and service scope.
We can provide the supporting technical file: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, chassis and engine-number declaration, model specification, photographs, loading dimensions, bill-of-lading information and available manufacturer or conformity certificates. The Kenyan importer remains responsible for appointing the provider and confirming the latest KEBS PVoC and customs requirements.
4. Logistics route to Mombasa
The normal sea route is to Mombasa Port, Kenya’s principal gateway for Nairobi, the coast and the Northern Corridor. As a planning range, China–Mombasa sea transit is commonly about 25–40 days port-to-port, excluding factory production, transhipment variation, customs clearance and inland delivery.
RoRo is generally suitable for complete drivable trucks. Container, flat-rack or break-bulk loading can be considered when the carrier accepts the vehicle dimensions and body configuration. From Mombasa, inland delivery can be planned toward Nairobi and other counties through the Northern Corridor. Before booking, we provide the selected model’s dimensions, gross weight, loading method, packing information and document list so your clearing agent can estimate terminal, duty, clearance and inland costs.
5. Recommended vehicles for Kenya
- Refuse Compactor Truck — primary option for kerbside collection and wheelie-bin rounds.
- Garbage Collection & Transfer Series — high-volume transfer and county waste operations.
- Skip Loader Truck — skips for markets, estates and construction waste.
- Hook Lift Truck — interchangeable containers and multi-body fleets.
- Water Bowser Truck — road watering, construction supply and dust suppression.
- Jetting Vacuum Truck — blocked drains, sewer cleaning and combined jetting-vacuum work.
All Kenya quotations should specify RHD. Final selection should follow payload, route conditions, bin or container type, water availability, suction distance and local service capability.
6. Delivery evidence, after-sales and enquiry
For a live Kenya project, attach available loading photographs, shipping records, inspection documents and handover evidence. If a Kenya-specific handover is not available, show comparable East African deliveries and label the country clearly; do not present another market’s project as Kenyan.
Each quotation should state chassis and body warranty separately, included wear parts, manuals, commissioning guidance and spare-parts dispatch terms. To request a quotation, send the vehicle type, capacity or payload, quantity, RHD requirement, destination county or port and WhatsApp contact. We will return the recommended model, specification, estimated production time, loading dimensions and document checklist.
Kenya FAQ
How long does KEBS PVoC take?
Allow approximately 1–3 weeks for document preparation and inspection coordination as a planning estimate. The appointed provider and Kenyan importer must confirm the current certificate route, fees and timing.
Can you supply RHD refuse trucks for Kenya?
Yes. Refuse compactors, skip loaders, hook lifts, water bowsers, sweepers and vacuum tankers can be supplied in RHD configuration.
Can you deliver trucks to Mombasa Port?
Yes. We can plan shipment to Mombasa and provide loading and document details for the clearing agent and inland delivery planner.
Can you deliver a truck from Mombasa to Nairobi?
Yes. Inland delivery can be arranged or coordinated through the buyer’s appointed transporter along the Northern Corridor. Confirm the final destination and unloading access before booking.
What documents are needed for KEBS PVoC?
The provider will confirm the current checklist. We can supply the invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, chassis and engine details, technical specifications, photographs, loading dimensions and available conformity documents.
How much does a garbage truck cost in Kenya?
The price depends on capacity, chassis, body equipment, options, shipping method and destination costs. We prepare a model-specific quotation rather than quoting an unreliable generic figure.
Which truck is best for county waste collection?
A rear-loading refuse compactor is usually the starting point for wheelie-bin collection. Skip, hook-lift or transfer equipment may be better for containerised waste, markets and high-volume routes.
Do you provide spare parts after delivery?
Yes. We can include a wear-parts kit, manuals, remote commissioning guidance and follow-up spare-parts supply terms in the quotation.
